Changes on the SSP Board of Directors

Board for Web

At the very core of SSP’s success is our diverse, talented, and heavily engaged Board of Directors. Board Members are elected to three-year terms with an option to renew their service for another three years. SSP also elects three youth Board Members to serve for one year terms. Thank you to these individuals who are leaving our board after many years of invaluable service.

Rev. Alissa Bertsch Johnson, Pastor at Cheney United Methodist Church in Cheney, WA

“Serving on the SSP Board opened my eyes to the number of dedicated people who work behind the scenes and gave me the opportunity to engage in an organization that is doing great work in the world.”

Dennis Pedersen, Attorney-At-Law in Walnut Creek, CA

“In my five years as a counselor, thirteen years as a church liaison and eight years on the Board, I have been incredibly impressed by the dedication and professionalism of SSP’s staff, volunteers and board members. These are great people who have not exhausted the exciting ‘SSP spirit,’ and I am humbled to have been able to serve with them.”

Steve Rodekohr, Retired Alameda Law Enforcement Officer from Benicia, CA

“Serving on the SSP Board for the last three years has been a rewarding and fulfilling service and experience. My support of SSP will continue well into the future!”

Dennis Sandstrom, Associate with EnvirolIssues in Seattle, WA

“These past six years on SSP’s Board have been amazing, fun, inspiring, spiritual, and educational. I’ve been honored to serve with great people passionate about this life-changing organization and I look forward to supporting SSP however I can in the future.”

Axie Acosta, Freshman at the University of California Davis from the First United Methodist Church of Glendale
