We are celebrating 50 years of service in 2025 and we want YOU to join us!
Our 50th Celebration Party will take place in Sacramento, CA on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
It will be a weekend full of community activities, story sharing, and connecting with past, present, and future SSP friends. Lodging will be available at the Sacramento Hostel on a first come, first serve basis for Friday and Saturday nights at a discounted rate.

As part of our celebrations, we will continue documenting our collective story, while celebrating the present and envisioning our future.
As part of our 50th anniversary, we are publishing a new edition of our book and digital stories. We are interested in collecting writing, photos, videos, audio, and interviews with you to be turned into literary and visual media in 2025.
